A MESSAGE FROM VICTORIA THOMPSON...
I’m so pleased that you’re finally able to learn who killed Dr. Tom Brandt in the tenth book in the Gaslight Mystery Series, MURDER ON BANK STREET. Actually, it took me that long to figure it out myself! I remember my agent asking me years ago if I knew who had done it and was Tom really the good man Sarah believed him to be. Well, I had to confess that I did not know who had killed him, but her second question got me thinking in an entirely new direction. The result is the story in MURDER ON BANK STREET.
One question I’ve been getting from fans (which completely surprised me!) is that since Tom’s murder is now solved, is this going to be the last book in the series? My answer, happily, is not at all!

I recently finished writing #11 in the series, MURDER ON WAVERLY PLACE, which has Sarah and her mother talking to ghosts at a séance. As long as readers keep enjoying the series, I will keep writing it.
I had a lot of fun researching the séance scenes. I even bought a book on how to do a phony séance. Needless to say, I have no intention of turning pro with this, but learning the tricks of the trade is a lot like finding out how magicians do their tricks—amazing, and a little disappointing. I think we’d all like to believe it is possible to get answers to our most difficult questions from those who have passed on (or from someone!) So far, I haven’t read anything about séances that makes me believe this is possible.
I hope you enjoy reading MURDER ON BANK STREET. Please send me an email to let me know what you think. Because of the large volume of email that I receive, I may not be able to send a reply to every one of them. Please be assured that I DO read all the email that I receive.
Hello again to all of my friends and fans!
